it's going to be difficult to beat the AAS and the cooking from yesterday. have my eye on chinese calligraphy, but feel ought really to understand more about manipulating the virtual goddess of interviews via the glorious linked-in. also karaoke is calling me but feels somehow wrong as a midday activity un-lubricated by wine or whiskey. maybe coffee will be enough.

am being geekgirl this weekend at BCL5. so far so good, despite shaky start involving damp trousers and inability to wake up after fabulousness at the pickle last night. two events unconnected, just in case you were wondering.

am avoiding actually running a session by buddying up with I to talk about pseudonyms and online interaction.

it has to be said that my input was sadly lacking, but others were sufficiently interactive and interesting to make my lack virtually unnoticeable. following this cop out i have made up for it by asking intuitive and searching questions at the AAS, and being all hands on and enthusiastic about cooking in under 5 mins. (believe it or not, sushi) (and other stuff too, but was only allowed to volunteer for one dish). have also actually done geeky stuff too, CSS most notably and currently ARGs. almost time for breakout, relaxing, dinner and werewolf.

joined C for wine drinking and cottage pie eating activities. truly fun. don't do it often enough. should.

damn. LFC has started to cull people. this despite frequent assurances that it is too large to be affected by dreaded CCM currently chomping through all other FCs.

will make small sacrifice to goddess of interviews (just in case) on way to tonight where there really is a concert. furthermore, it's a concert for which i have tickets. WOOt.

have been forced to endure an entire friday evening of dreadful music in the guise of comedy. for the sake of the goddess, do not go to see EB. unless you really like EVSC. and i simply refuse to believe that anyone actually likes EVSC. i was promised men in lycra shorts, but really, it's not worth it.

still, nice to catch up with K and Co. to celebrate birthday happiness.

followed excruciating tacky friday evening, er, fun by glorious saturday at RFH with R and G enjoying the splendours of SFF. an impressive display and an opportunity to stuff face full of wonderful things. managed to get very good venison for dinner party tomorrow. yay me.

lots of fun all sunday, first with preparation of haunch and slow vegetables. then with shared laughter and happiness, E, EOH, J and NNFM. good game of scrabble too.

all in all a rather fabulous weekend. quiet WOOting in appreciation.

indeed grumping at guineapigs was a positive miracle cure. joined E and J in pub for quick drink after work. slightly phased by meeting Elvis in the pub but took all in stride and was very polite. adjourned to RAH for fabulous concert only to discover that concert is next week. felt ever so slightly silly and spent almost the entire evening on buses that were quite obviously laughing up their sleeve and moving ever so slowly.

aaaargh. nasty cold thing will not go away. all headachy and bleugh. have tickets to concert tonight and simply refuse to miss it because of plague infestation. will instead coffee up and drag self to work and be very very grumpy at people. bound to make me feel better.

ha. alarm alarmed successfully and trains were on time.

elected to be very fabulous in shocking pink, with silly shoes to match. sadly silly shoes not aware that one important aspect of their duty is to stay on my feet. resorted to double sided tape to cow them into submission, but they do have minds of their own. decided that they're really designed for sitting elegantly in bars and then languishing in taxis rather than tottering round office cajoling and blackmailing guineapigs.

crowned the day by gatecrashing a leaving do. much fun with fellow geeks and finished evening in chinese restaurant. am much cheered to know that goethe was pro sparkly t-shirts. it's true. honest.

aaaaaargh. still managing to sleep through alarm with very little effort. not a good look when every possibility of collapse of the world as we know it. consequently decidedly grumpy all day. oh, and then late train was late too.

employed pointed sticks as the strategy of the day but with little effect. will try cajolery and blackmail tomorrow as an alternative.
